One person accountable for your account. That is the whole model.
Certified Locals is deliberately small. No account managers relaying messages, no junior reassignments, no agency layer between you and the person doing the work.
What we put in writing
- ✓You own every account — Google Business Profile, Analytics, Search Console, Ads
- ✓One window & door company per metro, no exceptions
- ✓Reporting you can audit against sources you control
- ✓Ninety-day minimum, then month to month on thirty days’ notice
- ✓The person who audits your site is the person who does the work
Founded and run by Sagar Malik.
Most contractors have already been burned by an agency.
Most contractors who call us have been through at least one agency already. The pattern repeats: a strong pitch from a senior person, a contract, then a handoff to a coordinator who forwards questions to someone you never meet. Twelve months in there are impression graphs trending up and no measurable change in booked estimates.
That gap is structural rather than dishonest. Agencies built on volume have to move experienced people onto new sales and leave existing accounts with whoever is available. The incentive is to retain the retainer, not to move the number that matters.
So Certified Locals is built the other way around. We take a limited number of accounts, we work one window and door company per metro, and the person who audits your site is the person who does the work and the person who answers your email. That caps how much we can grow, which is a trade we made on purpose.
Four commitments we will put in writing.
You own every account
Your Google Business Profile, your Analytics, your Search Console, your Ads account — created under your ownership with us as a user you can remove in thirty seconds. Nothing we do is held hostage by us leaving.
One company per metro
We do not take two window companies in the same market. Representing both sides of a local search fight is a conflict no amount of process management solves.
Reporting you can audit
Calls, form fills and booked estimates by city, on one page, monthly. Every figure traceable to a source you have direct access to. If a number looks wrong you can check it yourself.
Narrow on purpose.
We work in home services and high-ticket remodeling, with the sharpest focus on windows and doors. Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen and bath sit inside the same discipline and we take that work too.
We decline medical, legal, ecommerce, SaaS and national campaigns. Not because they are harder, but because the research that makes local work perform does not transfer. A window company competing across eleven townships has a different problem shape than a dental group competing on one street, and pretending otherwise is how agencies end up delivering the average of everything.
The things people ask before they hire.
Sagar Malik, the founder. Not a coordinator, not a junior reassigned after signing. If specialist help is needed for something — a development task, say — you are told who is involved and why before it happens.
A limited number, and one window and door company per metro. If your market is already committed you will hear that in the first reply rather than after an invoice.
A small specialist practice. Calling it an agency implies a bench we do not have, and calling it freelance implies project work rather than ongoing retainers. The honest description is a one-person practice with a narrow focus and a cap on accounts.
Thirty days’ notice, no exit fee, no clawback. You already own every account and every asset, so there is nothing to hand back. We will do a handover call with whoever takes over if you want one.
No. Month to month after the first ninety days, which is the minimum honest window for local SEO to show anything. We say ninety rather than twelve because twelve-month minimums exist to protect the agency, not the client.
You should not trust either on claims. Ask both for a specific plan for your specific market, ask who will do the work, and ask what reporting you can verify independently. The answers will tell you more than the size of the company.
We can connect you with current clients in markets that do not overlap yours. We will not share another client’s traffic data or named results without their written permission, which rules out most of what agencies typically show in pitches.
The work is remote and the market research is specific to yours. What matters is whether the person doing it understands how a homeowner in your townships searches, which is a research question rather than a geography one. We will tell you plainly if we do not know your market yet.
Fifteen minutes, no pitch deck.
Tell us your market and your site. You leave the call knowing what is wrong and what it would take to fix, whether or not you hire us.
